That's not aliasing, that's a bad sample file. The grit is different.
Aliasing isn't pretty. The grit is a kind of overall slight distortion. I've never gotten the crackle from sampling from the inputs.
Not that I got the crackle more than twice. 8 bit wav files don't convert to 16 bit very well, and I blame that.
As for the 60. don't knock it! See how many problems you get with the flimsy 2000 after 17 years!
