audiophile 2496 problem

i just installed an audiophile 2496 soundcard and i cant here any sound coming out of it.

i can here my dex when i play records but cant here anything that is already on the computer.

anybody have the same problem with theres?

check the multimedia section under control panel and see if installing the new card has jumpped the wave out settings to 0 that might be it

it hasnt got a multimedia section in control panel.

Im using xp

i cant record into the pc either.

use the find folders on your computer search and type in multimedia and this should point you to where it is at.........do you have a icon on the bottom task bar if so click it and see if you can adjust the settings

check the drivers in control panel, system, devices or some shit like that.

You did install the drivers right?

Go to: control panel --> sound/multimedia and set the card to be your default soundcard.
If you've set your card to ASIO it won't work with programs like Windows Mediaplayer and stuff. Open your control-panel on the taskbar, and set it to MME.
