Wassup People,

So I went out and got a Numark TT. I thought Id get 3 records first then see what happens. I copped:

James Brown - Slaughter's Big Rip Off
Curtis Mayfield - Superfly
Wille Hutch (RIP) - The Mack.

I know they are commin but i love these records.

So then I tell a friend I started digging and he says............ wait for it......

"come over on the weekend and take the 700 records that are just taking up space in my house".... man i think I fainted.

Nearly ALL of he LP's are originals. He got Roy Ayers - He's coming, which I been told I a good find if genuinely original. I dont know if thats true. Man his list is endless. Mostly Funk, Soul and Jazz - 70's-80's. Oh and he got that Bernard Wright LP i beed searching for called Nard on Promo. when I pick it up, I'll let you guys know what I find. I cant wait man.

i came into about 200 decent 60/70/80s records not too long ago. A ton of goodwill offerings but some solid stuff too.

free records are always great.

jac, you are too talented to be this close-minded.

sure the sound of recordings in the 80's changed drastically.

I formerly felt the way you did, but there are more than a few 80's records that are the bomb.

you'll understand, when you are more experienced

there's a lot of good 80's stuff if you know what to look for, if you just think of the 80's as phil collins or spandau ballet then you already have the wrong attitude and you ain't going to find sht.
