Any Hard Disk bugs?

OK, after a couple of weeks wrestling with moody CF cards and all that buggy stuff I've decided to get a HD!

All you guys out there who have harddrives..
Is it stable?
Do you get system error messages?
Do you get corrupted files?
What about new folder bug?

Twice I´ve had samples **** up, they loaded with no problem but on playback they did have the ending of another sample. First three quarters of the sample was ok but the last portion were the end of another sample with some strange noise around it.

Also had problems once to backup and copy a project to PC, one file were corrupt and the computer refused to copy it. Project loaded without problems though, so I resaved it on a Compact Flash card and copied it from there and all went fine.

So in your experience less buggy than CF cards? as my MPC1k has been really moody with CF cards / corrupt files and all that..

Well, I have had a CF dying bit by bit on me which wasn´t pleasant, with a lot of hassle I could save what was on it though. Didn´t have any file corruption problems while I was exclusively on CF.
I´m still not trusting my harddrive and backup frequently, but it´s so much faster and easy to work with an internal harddrive, and compared to the CF I´m having a greater peace of mind when I am in Save mode.

I'm starting to think there's something actually wrong with the CF drive on my MPC1k. Have ordered an 80Gb HD so guess I'll find out soon!

Getting fed up with this. Everytime I really get a track rolling, things start corrupting...rubbish

If the HD doesn't sort this out I'm considering getting a 2500, I love the MPC1000 to bits but this is holding my life up.

how come u guyz are so quiet on this one?

tell me more about the folder bug. i'm gonna upgrade to 2.1 tonight and don't want to lose anything that i create from now on.
