THee Microkorg Society

First of this is not another question from someone thinking of buying a Micrkorg, and this question isnt off topic becuase mainly its MY question. Does anybody use the Microkorg and Mpc 1000 together often. If you dont own a either please just press back on your webpage because im looking for those who do get down on that combo daily. I wanna ask yall who do use both units how do you use them with each other. And Mainly i want to talk to you if you use a Microkorg basically. Holla at the homie on the boards.

Second, if you ask anything out in public, expect to get anything from anybody.

i use the microkorg. i mainly sample bass notes from it and the occasional random sound effect. not using the 1000 though (4000 heh heh heh)

I don't have a microkorg or an mpc1000 but I felt like replying just because.

i used 2500 wit the microkorg for about a week, i dont like the editing style of the unit, & i dont hink it sounds much better then my plug-in collection.... if u like the sounds i think a ms2000 is a better choice

i have only recently started using the microkorg hooked up with MIDI cabes to my MPC.its pretty cool as u can play samples on the MPC with the korg keys.works well with the multisamples i got online.u can play the piano samples more like a piano. Ive not messed about making my own sounds yet but recording into the sequencer is really easy and plays back fine. Its a good combination in my opinion!

I have a crazy idea. Now bear with me here. You could walk into your local guitar center. Then go find one set up. Then play around with it. And then see if you like it. Then if you do like it, buy it. Not trying to be an ass, it's just how you came off in your post.

i was actually thinking of getting a microkorg to use with my mpc2500.

Mainly for bass or wormy lead shit.

Seems like an ill combo to me.

i'd get the alesis micron over the microkorg. you get a great keyboard compared to the korg, and double the polyphony - which you need if you will use it as a sound module for more than one or two parts.

if you really want to program any sounds, try an old roland SH-32. real cheep second hand, and plenty powerful. massive 32-osc programs are even possible with it.

after you graduate from that stuff, older Virus are getting cheeper...
