Q LINK KNOBS AND SLIDER GETTING RECORDED ???? SUP WIT THIS?

hey u guys..i like using my Q link knobs and sliders but cant seem to understand why when say i have a 4bar seq or when i go to move them in real time(during recording) they NEVER come back on the loop around.on the come back(MPC4000 in overdub now) i just hear the effect of where i left the knob last instead of starting where i first began twisting the knob.SUP WIT THIS?

You have to stop the sequence before overdub starts or you will record over it.
