Yo im just usin this p.o.s casio just to check out a few midi things, i got it to record and playback, but the playback from the keyboard track is goin right back into the keyboard speakers and not the headphone jack, the drums are playing back through it fine though,? Im just tryin to learn before I come up on my micro korg.. maybee its because the casio has no midi clock int it idk

So I cant record audio on a track in the mpc from a keyboard . I have to do it separate?. also what would be better to get. a sound module and a controller, or a standard synth/keyboard ( in terms of mpc compatabillity if theres any diffrence)

If u want to record audio then that would be considered sampling the sounds. When I make beats on my mpc and i want add a bassline, guitar, ect i hook them up via MIDI. The MPC is the sequencer but the sounds are still gonna come from the keyboard.

I really recommend u read up on MIDI.
