whats wrong?

im trying to record the keys from the triton, (sequenceing midi) and it wont loop back,but it i play the triton from the mpc it plays back

so why aint the mpc recording, the midi data im playing from the triton?

Are you sure the MPC is receiving on the same midi channel as the Triton's transmitting?

Also check to see if the Midi input filter is blocking the recording of notes.

Not to be an ass but you have 2 midi cables connected between the mpc and the triton right ?

yes they are, out to ins ,ins to outs, i know how to midi up my gear

also an audio cable running from your triton to your mixer

Have you switched the Sequencer Output to Midi : Device A(1-16) or B (plus Chanel). ?

If you switch the 2 cables do you get the same simptoms ? It might be one of your midi cables has gone faulty.

lol triton still plays via the mpc, the mpc wont record the midi note info from the triton

Sorry if you tried this, but have you tried enabling Receive channels to ALL and setting Midi input filter to OFF on the MPC?

Does the Triton trigger the MPC's sampler when you press a key?

Do you have any other Midi gear you can connect to the MPC to see if the problem is from the Triton side or the MPC side?
