PIcs of your cribs..

Are you sure you want to get that M-Audo 88 key Jimbo? I played around with it in the shop and the keys felt pretty cheap and plasticy for the price of the thing.

Personally i'd save up a bit more and look for a Kurzweil PC88 or even get on one of the Fatar Studiologic joints

I seems fine to me.

I dont use it too intensively for mixing. I mainly use it for scratching sounds that i've sampled (using the Tascam TTM1).

The CDX-05 and the TTM1 is quite sick combination!

I'm pretty sure. I mean, I'm not selling CD's or nothin yet but, I hear music coming out of my monitors. I may not be the most prolific artist in the world, but what do you mean by this?

HMMM, It did feel a lil funny. I read on these forums that the studiologic keyboards suck too. I might check out that kurzweil pc88. I liked the pro 88 because of all the controllers on it. I want to use it with reason. I would really be able to control everything in reason with it. Im not a pianist but Im learning the piano now, I just know the basics, nothing too complex. I thought it might be cool to learn on also.

any other 88 key controllers I should check out? something not too high, maybe under $700 or a lil over?

The older Fatars are nice. Haven't had the chance to play with a new one.

THM over on FP says the Kurzweil can be picked up for under $700, he paid $450 for his. Comes with some sounds too, including a really nice piano.

That's the good thing about the M-Audio, all the assignalbe controls but i'd rather get a better board and a separate controller in the future like the Behringer BCF series.

The nicest feeling keys i've come across recently are on the Roland stage pianos, you might be able to find an older on of those at a decent price too

Older fatars (ensoniq ) are very nice, and durable...

Look into used 88 key synths/sampling keyboards around NYC on craigslist.com...

You'd be surprised what you can get for around/under $700...

Somebody asking $900 might come down to $700...even $500...

...especially someone with a drug problem...

checked out the kurzweil and they dont have that many assignable controls, neither do the studiologics, I think each brand had atleast 1 board with alot of controls. I'm not looking for sounds really. I have more than enough to work with. I really need a controller with tons of assignables. I Already use the 16 on the radium 61.

You'll probably do fine with the M-Audio then. I only really picked up on the feel of the keys after playing on a Fantom X8, Motif ES8 and some of the Roland stage pianos. I feels bad compared to these but then most do

I'd say it's easily something you'd get used to, especially after working on a Radium. I've got the Evolution version, can't stand it any more!

Could u try it out for me? Like just wiggle the desk its on, or the unit itself..i'm really curious since the vestax website nor any webstore mentions skip durability, while i really need that when im onstage.
