Hi guys, after alot of trouble with crappy CF cards, I took delivery of a 80Gb Toshiba drive today. I've installed it and it seems to be working OK.

Does anyone care to share how they organize their folder system on their HD?
Where do they save projects, sample libraries etc etc.
How deep is your folder structure.

etc. etc.

Any tips would be great as I want to start on the right foot rather than
have to reformat and reorganize later when it all goes wrong

I think this would be useful for alot of people?

:?

in my whole month of MPC usage i have just created directories in which i will have a folder for each beat. in each folder i will have all the samples/files that i need for that beat. that way nothing is saved twice unless it needs to be.

i have a few extra folders for samples. i just organized those according to what they are.

First in Root D: Make sure you have formatted the whole drive.
Go to SAve hit new folders /example

1.Sample Folder
2.Tracks Folder
3. Loops Folder
4. Beats Folder
5. Vocals Folder etc,etc,etc.

just make sure when you save you open these(folders) up to which you need to save in.

So is it general consensus that it's better to never save over?

So what about if I have 2 different Projects and they contain samples with the same name but that are edited differently?

Does that mess things up?
