can anybody confirm this?
before os 1.2 all my project files were 1kb. now only the project files of projects i made entirely of samples on the mpc are 1kb. they load fine, they play fine, they mute fine.
but all the project files related to projects that used an external module (in my case a korg m1) are now 0kb, they load, they play (but don´t sound right) and they are not completly mutable. a faint, sometimes chopped sound like the muted pattern is still audible, even if i turn down velocity to 1 and mute the track. this sound is clearly coming from the synth, i can cut it off if i turn input through to off.
maybe it is a velocity setting problem the mpc has velocity 1-200 but the korg only recognizes 1-127?
before the update all was fine. i double and quadriple checked the midi and other settings, but i have no clue what is wrong.
all the files are on my cf card, they are not in the root folder, each project has its own folder...

I would check this thread to see if this will solve one or more of your problems:

Where do you see the size of your project files? In the Load screen? Mine are usually around 200 Bytes when I check on the PC, but displayed as 0 kB as well in the Load screen. Akai probably only changed the way they round the size that is displayed in the new OS. If you have a lot of Programs, Samples and Sequences in your project (like in sample based projects), the PRJ file will get larger, and the display probably be rounded to 1 kB.

The mute issue has nothing to do with it I think...it's explained in the thread jahrome mentioned.

Cheers.

@stilo: "danke" for this info on the filesize.

and i read the other tread jahrome mentioned several times, but i must have overread one particular post over and over again. today i found the answer to the mute problem in the other tread. thank you both for pointing me once again. :)

the mute problem occurs if the one shot setting in the other page is set to immediate. <- this was for the people who can´t read the other tread properly, like myself.

so this means i could either use my modules or long samples not both? ok i can live with that, most of my samples are short or do i misunderstand?

You're welcome :D

Well, of course you can still use long samples. You just have to live with the fact that they don't stop immediately after you press stop. Which is not really a problem I think.

Also, the trick with hitting the Bar >> and << buttons quickly after one another to stop long samples still works.
