Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I bought an akai S2000 with the 8out card.
does the card work in Mpc2kxl?

i tried to connec the card but it dont work =/
not a single sound came out

anybody? plz help me.

Yeah but it requires some work b/c the cable is not long enough.

Just to make sure:

In the mixerscreen did you assign the pad to the individual output ?
Did you also turn up the volume in the mixerscreen ?

So if the numbers at the top are only showing me the combo numbers like "3/4" or "5/6" does that mean that the board isn't working properly? I don't get any solid numbers like "1" "2" you know...let me know..uno

It will say 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8

Ima nice person but why buy something if u dont have a clue what it does and how it works? Alot of yall have mpcs just cause its the hotest thing out.

LMAO.

But ne ways you will figure it out. Like Lamp said No Hand Holding.

Im j/k about that up top but the manual tells u so hmmm...

Ow come on guys can I put him out of his misery? If the number say 1/2 3/4 etc then it means you assigned a stereo sample to your pad (stereo needs 2 channels remember?) if you assign a mono sample to your pad you would see 1 2 3 ... numbers appear.

Now go read the **** manual please, it will give you loads of insight on the wonderful machine you bought. I don't understand how cats want to buy the latest flashy gear and protools and shit but on the other hand can't handle a **** pile of papers. Go figure.
