Next sequence function

I'm the owner of a mpc2000xl.

Here is the scenario:

Moving the cursor to "DRUM 1" and press "open window" your can set the mpc to switch sequence by recieving program changes from external device (drumpads).

Now I assign the pads on my Octapad II with program change numbers according to the sequences I want to switch.

Connecting the Octapad Out to the mpc In with a midicable.

Pressing play on mpc and by hitting the pads on the Octapad I now should be able to switch sequence.


But it doesn't work!!

Can anyone help me??

i don't think you switch sequences that way as that window is for program changes for switching programs not sequences......so you are probably finding the program change messages are arriving from your octopad but are changing the programs for you rather than the sequence....if you only have one program going this might be why it doesn't seem to be working as there is no other program to change to...

hmmm, im quite sure its possible.

Take a look at page 51 in the manual: "Prog change > Seq"

But it does'nt work for me....

yeah but you were referring to the window which was for prog changes for programs not seqs....different things....
