Recording problems

Having some trouble getting my records to come out correctly. The beat sounds great when i bang it out on the pads but when i record it , it sounds wack all off.

well, your going to have to give us a bit more info.


Like what are you recording to, what are you sycing the MPC to, basically how you are recording, details.

And what is "all off"? Is the timing like WAY off or just a little bit? Are the sounds different or wrong? Be a little more specific please.

yeah i bet it's time correct issues

or maybe sync issues?


i don't know, too vague.

Some queerly mixed stuff might sound great in cheap headphones but in a pair of decent monitors it behaves strange as you don´t have the loudness effect with boosted lows and highs.

sounds like you need to cut your TC off.

yea, your probably right, i was thinking more about recording the actual audio and not the sequence.

Soley my mpc currently , Correct sounds and everything. Ok this might be hard to explain but i bang a beat on the pads say.

kick - snare - kick kick - snare - the double kick with no space.

then when i record it it puts spaces between the two kicks.

yep, turn the timing correct off.

set ur timimg correct to 16's
