anyone know some good MPC60 techs?

after messin up my 60 i'm thinkin just taking it to a tech for him or her to nice up.

anyone know any good ones?

I don't mind shippping the mpc60 and if it takes a month or two to fix that's fine too(i'm goin away anyway...)

I don't trust armen(he's known to break things then offer $20 for them saying it's worthless)...

I would send to forat, but he's kinda...overpriced. I bet he'd charge $500 to open it. It'd be kinda nice though, cuz if i really wanted to keep it he could've replaced the side that's broken, and maybe givin it a nice paint job...and wooden front n all that:-) but then that'd be really overpriced lol...

I know we got mpc3000le on the board, he seems knowledgable as all hell, but all the way in ozzie land:-(

Yep ... I do fix 60's and other stuff, but ... as 3001 says, I'm a LONG way away.

My suggestion ... send your machine to VST.

When i purchased my 60II from ebay I took it straight to VST. They checked all the functions and it only ended up needing a new backlight.
They know their MPC's over there (just take a look at their website) and they had great customer service. http://vstservice.com/

hrm, yea i didn't think of that, i'll probably send it to VST, they seem pro, and not meant for the rappers who have ridiculous amounts of $ to waste(forat).

You could also try this place http://www.tsirepair.com/. They are based in NY (actually 5 minutes from my crib) and they do repairs on all the MPC models. I plan on getting my MPC60 serviced by them pretty soon....

the thing with VST is, shipping might cost more than the repair itself. think ill bring it when i goto cali this summer.

Middletown is 50 minutes from Manhattan. I guess you could call it the boonies..lol. Shipping wouldn't cost you that much since you're in NY already.

yea, it's pretty cheap actually, an mpc60 box doesn't h ave tobe that big. it's not like yer shippin oversized.

You could also try this place http://www.roguemusic.com/. I took my MPC there when I first got it a couple of years ago. They were able to fix her up in a couple of hours. They are located right in Manhattan.
