Im currently looking to add to my gear and was researching the asr-10 and S-950. The only thing i use now is my 2000xl, reason, midi controller keyboard (radium 49) and vinyl. Im looking to found a machine i create multi-samples with, but im confused as to which one would better compliment my setup and beats. If u have experience w/ one of these samplers please help me out. And thanks to everyone on here. This is my 1st post but u all have been answering my questions for almost a year thanks.

I got both of these in my setup right now and I would never sell either one but if I had to choose to keep only one it would be the asr10. There are some major advantages to the asr over the s950...

1. ASR has up to 16MB memory 950 has up to 2.25
2. you can sequence up to 8 different instruments from the ASR to the MPC and on the 950 you can only sequence one program at a time.
3. ASR has effects and the 950 does not
4. ASR can resample the 950 can not

I would list the ASR's seq but since you got a MPC it won't matter

They're both simple to create multisampled programs/instruments on and both of them have auto-loop features to help you out. There probably other samplers out there to be considered for creating multi samples but if it's between the asr and the 950 go for the asr.
