My MPC is posessed...(or however you spell it)

I was assigning a sample to a pad today when all the sudden a drum beat full of snares took over my MPC...I couldn't get it os top, the only time it did was when I was in sample mode, then when I went back to the main screen or any other screen, the snares took over again, I had to turn the MPC off...has this ever happend to any of you?
EDIT ALERT ALERT!! This is still happening, when I load my sounds up, it begins...if I go to the assign in the progrm screen and switch my programs, the sounds just change...this is nuts....there is no sequence playing or anything, just this beat that I have no idea where it came from.....I need some serious help.

Mine did something similar for the first time yesterday and it freaked me out.

It just started randomly playing all the pads at different keys. I couldn't stop it and had to reboot.

What OS you using?

If it's random pads being triggered I'd suggest it was the pads (sensors). But if its a sequence of sounds and it loops/repeats itself then yeah, no idea. Might be worth disconnecting the pad sensors (I've never done it so don't know the process) and reconnecting.

Mine has done all of this before too but it's been like 2 years since, I'v ehad no problems in a LONG while *knocks on wood*, I've been on 1.14 for a LONG time now.

yeh ive had it, mine was a crazy low tom sound going nuts, good ol reboot solved it.

I'm using 1.14 too. Looks like a random bug if others have had it as well.

Shame I didn't save just before it happened though

That sounded liek some horror movie.I hope that dosent happen to me becuz i have gotten real frustrated before and wanted to smash my MPC.

Luckily it didn't last all night, but that some crazy a** sh*t, I never want that to happen again...

something like that happened to me once. i was mad tired an about to go to sleep. i was wearing my headphones and the volume was all the way up. I had a old dusted sample of a religious record of some guy saying "he wants to know if he's going to hell". all sudden that sample was repeating mad fast, and the screen said something about an error, i almost sh!t myself.

My XL has crashed some times, it always behaved the same way when doing this:
The display shows some hexadecimal-codes and some strange menu options above the soft buttons (like "memory" above F6), the lights freeze and the sound generator plays all the sounds that are currently saved in the memory in a loop.
First I thought it has to do with the long running time it had to suffer before, but later it also happened even when I just had recorded the first few sounds at that day.

...I remember my old MPC 60 sometimes triggering sounds randomly, this was caused by corrosion of the pad sensor´s connection.
(But I don´t think any newer MPC already has corrodated pad sensor connectors.)
