in the edit screen at the bottom it say's copy zone--temp were is that info stored at and how do i retrieve it and use ? say for instance I sample a drum break from vinyl then I want to edit it so that I have my strat and end correct. On the 2kXL when you edit a zone it deletes all information outside of the specified zone on the 3000 it deletes all info inside the specified zone.

good question...............

read the f.a.q. at the top of this forum. its explained in full detail there.. basically you have to paste it to an existing sample..

I suppose it's stored in the machine's ram.

You use the soft start and end to set the limits, you use the zone to narrow in to specific parts that you want to copy, delete, silence, etc.

but setting the soft st/end won't help you safe memory right? the information outside sft st/end is still there....and no way to get rid of it exept zoning and deleting it?
