I currently use step edit aswell ....or I sequence my top layer and then copy the track and change the program to my filtered drums....... still kills my work flow .....I use to love hearing how my heavy layered drums sounded when I hit the pad ....now I have to copy tracks or resample ... this is not a feature thats not that complicated ...but yet its not on akai's newer machiens (1000-2500) making my transition a little more rockey!

but always as a producer the beats must go on at any cost ....even if it means a few more miniuts here and their...... honestly if the 2500 gets simult back or filters per layer..... it will be my faviort mpc akai has came out with!

cough! cough! Your point in your reply

What does this have to do with simult??

My answer Yeah what I said had nothing to do with the simult feature.
I'm just trying to gain some insight into this thing we do called music. I saw a hole, jumped in it 1000 apologies if i almost destroyed the fiber that holds this thread together

some people take other steps in making their drums sound how they want them.

I d still wanna see seprate filters per layer ....or at least let us trigger other pads with one pad

I wish someone from these boards could get a Beta testing role with them, much like sparq did for the 1000 and version 1.999992579567158158.

We need someone that is actually going to test the thing thoroughly before it's released and also to express in person what features people would really like to see and why!

yeah still waiting for it. too bad it wasnt in 1.2

One person can't do it.

Akai needs a team of actual MPC users to beta test the software. Until this happens...I anticpate the next few OS changes will still have some issues...but what do I know :D

Aren't we 2500 users the official "beta" testers as it is?

actually we could expect the same nasty trick akai did with the mpc 1000..

1.make a buggy machine
2. slow slow slow OS updates
3. drop the price from the machine with -200 $
4. update the OS with lots of new features, updates and fixes
5. pop the machine in a new box with some little extra's
6. sell it again at it's original price

i know this is true.. becuz before os 2.0 on the mpc1000 everyone was selling their mpc like crazy.. even i did!.. and then they come up with this new OS.. and now you see nobody selling their mpc1k

now ain't that some nasty tactics?
