im having problems recording !!! please help !!!

wassup fam, i wanted to no, i recently got an mpc1000 and the samples im using have snares and drums and i no u cnt ''magically'' make them disapear with some program i no u need to try to eq them out as much as possible, but which filter do u use, i tried 4 band and low pass. Also how do u lay down your snares over the samples snares exactly when they hit, do u guys record a snare track wihtout the sample n then just play them both together or do u press record on the mpc and when the samples is playing lay down your snares, i need help !!!! please !!! anyone and any information would be very very helpful, thanx peace and god bless.

welcome to the forum.
u record a track of whatever and make it work...........then just overdub and be musical, just hear and practice...make mistakes, u'll learn from them¡¡
in my opinion ....mpc must be used with logic.

check the manual, u'll find a lot of answers there.

yeah at this point your best friends are practice and the manual. you'll figure out some of this stuff if you like producing enough. if not, you'll sell your mpc. simple as that! now quick, prove yourself to be of the first catagory!!!

I think what he is trying to say, is that he has sampled some melodies and the part that he wants is fine ie the piano or sax, but would rather not have the rest ie. the drums. This is a problem I have all the time. Usually what I do is this: I'll listen to a record for the parts that the instrument I want is solo or has very little background intruments, which is usuallly in the begining or end of songs, and I also get a lot of accapellas, so I can get voices with out the band.
