if i play the mpc live, i can switch back and forth through all note repeat settings without a problem. even if i use shift+note repeat to fix it, it´ll work fine. i can switch the timing at any given moment without a hiccup or glitch.
BUT if i want to record (as a loop, didn´t try it with loop set to off) some but not all timings are messed up. (have to look again to be shure about which measurements are messed up) and it gets even worse if i try to change the timing while recording - then it is sometimes good sometimes bad...
maybe the swing setings have something to do with this? with swing set to 50% i get less or no timing issues.

Swing is the thing. Anything other than 50% swing causes the above problems for me.

i have the same problem. note repeat only works properly while playing live without hitting play... when i attempt to record ... the machine gives me different quantizations from what i selected. for example when im in note repeat and i have it set to 1/16-3, it plays it as 1/8-3...hmmmm

akai needs to really check this out cause if we cant quantize correctly... im getting my money back!

1/8(3), 1/16(3), and 1/32(3) is where the problems lie.

When the sequencer is stopped, note repeat using these settings above will respond one way, but when recording, they respond differently.

I noticed this too. THey play at double speed when not recording but seem to repsond normally when you start to record

This bug has been reported to Akai and they have acknowledged its existance.

Good luck. They usually don't tell you when the new OS will be released. The best answer you will usually get is 'soon' or 'I don't know'.
