Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

im having trouble when i have a sample a drum loop for instance, finding out beat# and how many bars

any easy way(i have soundforge and reason, in case they help, using a classic mp)

are u asking how to count beats? like bpm?

every four beats = 1 bar

^ thats what you said. what you are really asking is "how do i tell what the tempo of a sample is".

i was wondering the same - so what exactly is the 'space' bar?

and when that is done what will that tell u? it will tell u the bpms? the bar count?
