yes, I know I'm late. But better than never :D After reading countless of articles, posts, threads here and few other places, asking bunch of questions (Props to my man Nym), I've put out the cash to get an MPC 1000.

So excited

good to see new blood. be ready for a LOT of learning. however, if you're patient and humble, the payoff will be huge. it's an instrument, after all

Had mpc 1000 for brief period of time, and I dont think it's any more difficult than motif es sampler/sequencer, actually it was a breeze comparing to that thing. Anyways...congrats have phun with it. I might be picking up 2500 next week 8)

I'm getting a new 1k tomorrow.. one of the last new blue ones around here.. I sold my Korg Triton LE for the money for the Akai MPC1000 and bought a Korg MicroKorg synth/vocoder for melody.. can u guys be specific on how I can (a) plug in my synth to (b) sample a played riff and then (c) save and assign that riff... I wanna be able to jump on it right away... maybe if theres anything else helpful to us newbies to the 1k that u could post, please do,... many other ppl will read it in search for hope, I guarantee it.. maybe like a starter guide.. like A. install new OS..

nice meeting other producers.....
