step seems to be the thing to do.. I noticed theres no delay... unless it came with the new OS and I didnt see it.. that sucks. but otherwise this mpc kills everything.. even the triton I was using

there is a delay.

in my effects page, I dont have a delay option... ?

lol I just found a "Quick Manual" I never knew I had.. lol my gf never told me about that! she put it away when she cleaned I think.. no wonder I got shit on by you guys!

But this *topic* was/is so pathetic. There's some other dude in this forum who hadn't owned an mpc1000 either, and he's read the manual pretty thoroughly. (More than me.)

One of the main reasons as to why I'm finally copping an mpc1000 (besides having the money), is of the new v2 manual. I was all like, "Dope, I get to have the new manual in print! Wit all the nuances of the OS upgrade." I mean, seriously. It's a muh'fukin manual. It's got a ToC and a frickin index(!)

This sh!t is like Lego's. You tinker with the sh!t for a while [emphasis on "while"] and if you still can't get it, then you consult the 'directions'.

I wonder how many more ppl will come on here and say exactly what you said. Since someone said that before you as well.. but hey we get the point, right? right.

Third, try and find a Triton Extreme and give it a whirl.

It's a better feel than the LE.

sweet... I have a question.. lamp might know the answer.. after I record a sample from the analog in, I assign and keep, do I need to go save the sample to my Card after or is it saved to my card automatically after I hit keep? because I lost my homemade samples when I powered off and on again..

You have to save the sample to internal memory, a CF card or hard disk. As a rule you must save everything that you create - samples, programs, sequences etc. Take a look in the manual for info on saving a project ... i.e. the entire contents of memory. That's useful for ensuring you save everything you're working on at the moment and can easily reload it all next time you power up.
