I would be surprised if it didn't include MMC and MTC now that the 2500 has it.

But then they might use this to boost 2500 sales for people who need to sync in that way.

Akai can't included MMC/MTC in the 1k,because there's know hardware for it, the 2500 only has MTC. the new OS up date has the MTC code on it so the 2500 is in the race to be one of the most used MPC's ever!! . Midi Time Code is a must in Tracking, midi clock is ok,but limits you to one sync mode, rather than having four ways (smpte,MMC,MTC,and midi clock. 8)

what i'd really like to see is a setting for the strenth of the timing correct, like a percentage. 100% means its fully quantized to your setting, less means it won't move the notes you play all the way on beat, but closer to where you actually played them.

I havn't really noticed any differents in the timing correct, never had a problem. 8)

he's talking about an extra feature, where you can adjust how strongly you'd like the timing correct to be applied.

Personally I'd like to see the grid mode editing from the 2500. I like to work/think that way sometimes.

Ah, didn't realise that was a hardware issue too.

The 2500 has both MMC and MTC since since the OS 1.2 update. No SMPTE though

nope, no MPC currently has this. I'm not so sure ANY hardware drum machine has it.

It sounds useful if you've never used it, but after you've used it its GREAT.

I try not to use timing correct either, but this feature would make it way more useful. Fix a sloppy performance while still retaining some human feel.

MMC is not included in the 2500 it's just MTC, Only 4k and 2k has the MMC,MTC,slot for SMPTE if you have it,and Midi Clock. I had the 2000XL unit use it well, with CoolEdit 2.0 . Talked to a friend at Akai awhile back about upgrading the 1k to MTC, and he said there's noway, there's not a hardware for it ,but 2500 would be upgraded as soon as the new O.S came out which it is ,so now you have it. 8)

hmmmf, new OS...kinda early and really i dont see em doin anything...but,

1) FIX THE DAMN BUGS

2) USB ??? FCUK THE CHORD PULLIN

3) Give us more optins on volume output...we only got 0, -6, and -12...the 2500 i saw had even more...not that its a big thing, but why not..

4) Seeing the volume level when sampling main out

5) Id like us to have the ability to do a full stop, and not have the samples continue playing. If i hit stop, i want it to shhhhhh....although some times i liek when the sample finishes playing...an option would be dope..the 2500 has it in OTHER...

6) Oh god, how i want that Si-Mult option...GIVE IT UP AKIA!!!!

7) Grid edit would be cool, but not a biggie...

By looking at the list, i've come to the comclusion that i dont need an update..but rather a 2500...i cant take the pads man...i enjoy playin the drums on the pads for say a live show, on the 1000 no matter how much i adjust the sensitivity, i cant get the response i get on the 2500 or any other mpc model...i dunno bout u guys but my fingers need a bit more room...i likes to get hella funky on m pads, the 1000 is too compact i always hit multi pads when i get realy into it.

Im not a fan of the individual pads fo real! My pad 13 is loosing sensitivity! My tap temp function doesnt work..my erase button broke!

sorry guys just had to kinda vent...
