Yeah, I'm feeling you, but the samples to my favourite all time tracks are found there. As well as some great music just to listen to. It's a great place to start.

Also, it doesn't bother me as much as a lot of other headz if somethings been sampled before. Just as long as it's dope. I've never heard a sample flipped the exact same way. Sometimes just hearing a different MC makes the track sound fresh even if it's been done to the death! I wish people would bring back those old samples and flip them with all the new technology we get. There are some stuff that Marley Marl used to sample that I wouldn't mind hearing a top notch producer doing in the present.

great point.........but...we are digging for samples that will be associated with us 15 years from now as marley,pete rock,beatminerz and primo has now......dig me?

Now thats Real Homie.......my tec is.......I just buy.......you can always make something out of nothing.........When in the stores or where ever I maybe digging at, I look for artist or groups I aint never heard before........and I always take my older cousins with me.......they aint into making music how I make it.......they are musicians who play instruments.........3 people digging for 1 person is much better and quicker than just me digging........yall know Im 30 my cousins are like 39 and 42..........thats what I do

Pete says the digger culture is gone? Well tell Pete that the next time I make a run to the Salvation Army to see what gems are being thrown away for 10 cents a record.

going to parties/chumps/girls/cousins/grandma's(mostly people that dont have a clue about hiphop or djing etc, you obviously cant do that if a dj lives in the house or if you find a serious collecter and would feel bad jakin them)

an jackin there parents record collections. like the ones hidden way in the back of the closet, 2 inches of dust on them isht's. especially when you know the owner wont ever notice that you took 5, 10, all the records or would miss them.

if it has any dark, volient, or evil name..
ill usually sample it

I try to look for artists , or producers i know and like from the era or maybe a list of special guest artist playing some weird instruments. I do all my diging at thrift stores and yard sales so its easy to spend 5-10 bucks to get a nice stack and know there will be a few decent samples in them.

I am all dollar bin, pretty much no matter what. Id rather have 20 records instead of one $20 record, or 4 $5 record. To be honest, the best shit comes from the most unexpected records.........so i figure if im going by volume, ill hit more shit, then if im planning it out and investing in expensive records. The only thing is, certain labels like CTI, youre pretty much guaranteed something.......so usually they are worth the price. But I like unguaranteed digs, thats part of the fun, and you experience more music that way-plus all your shit dont sound the same.

honestly, sometimes i feel like sampling everything, and that is a hinder to my productivity....... If i instantly feel it, I take it, if I got to think about it, then its out.
