Akai can't included MMC/MTC in the 1k,because there's know hardware for it, the 2500 only has MTC. the new OS up date has the MTC code on it so the 2500 is in the race to be one of the most used MPC's ever!! . Midi Time Code is a must in Tracking, midi clock is ok,but limits you to one sync mode,rather than having four ways (smpte,MMC,MTC,and midi clock.

forgive me if i'm wrong, but MMC/MTC are protocols which are sent through a midi cable, are they not? in that case, surely it's a software issue, not a hardware one?

I'd like to be able to audition samples while my sequence is playing.

2.5 has mmc and mtc. dj t gets the gas face again.

apparently 25k is your first machine,so what would you and Piss-off, know about Musical, instrument,Digital,Interface? and the Code , protocal of MTC (Midi time code) which is a software code and Midi Machine Code/ is a code#:!: your best bet to find out what this machine (1kand25k) can and can't do is call AKai and ask the Tech's ,they will tell you that the 2500 only has MTC/MMC.In most case you only going to use MTC or Midi Clock! You guys complain and ask what if's, then when someone tell facts. You try to get Edgeumakaded if you Peezie know some much you and your uppiddy friends go get a 2500! oh that's right! you will probably complain about it not having VGA or SMPTE ? I see you spend more time worry about comments than making beats , let me hear something you made on a MPC?

You stated the 2500 didn't have MMC, i showed you the release notes to back up my statement that it has.

I don't recall me trying to make any smart ass comments in here? I haven't complained or asked any what ifs in here either. Unless you forget, it was actuall ME that told YOU the 2500 has MMC and MTC so why have you stated it in your last post as if i didn't already know?

I think you should calm down, i wasn't trying to cause a problem up in here. You obviously didn't like being proved wrong but that's not my problem.

It would also be nice if you could learn to construct proper sentences using at least some form of coherent punctuation and grammar...

Ya I'd like to know what "hardware" is needed for MTC when its a midi message (sysex actually) and we obviously have midi ports.
