XL files

Yo can the older 2000 read the 2000xl aps files? I did my beats on the xl and tried to load them on to the 2000 and it said requires new os. The os is has is 1.72 is there a newer os and where can I get it. Thanks.

To my knowledge 1.72 is the latest OS.

If you knew the capabilities and limitations of your machine compared to just a few other mpc's, you'd already know the answer, learn your machine more.
