HOW DO I CONFIGURE WHEN I CONNECT MPC 2500 TO MY SOUNCARD?

i have connect mpc out to soundcard in,i receive a very high signal in cubase(channel 1) when i put 1a in midi: in main screen,but i can't record,in
fact i can do nothing,i think normally i can record in cubase the sound from
the mpc(audio,midi)
