it would not work with my s5000

I actually bought it specifically for my S5000 and you bummed me out for a minute there since I didn't try it out yet. I just tried it with the CF card that comes with the MPC1000. Of course I used PCMCIA CF flash adapter(nabbed one off ebay for $0.01). The S5000 started loading up those wavs automatically. There is a SCSI termination switch on the Microtech piece so make sure that's switched in the off position if it's the last in your SCSI chain. If that doesn't work, you may have bought a defective one. I don't think The S5000 will recognize it unless you've got media plugged in also.

Also, don't mean to be a dick, but there is an on/off switch too. Sometimes little things like that can be missed. Hope it works for you.

If its that cost effective and easy to use SCSI reader why would anyone install an internal reader...

If you search for them on ebay, that seller sells them at 12.99 now plus 9.99 shipping. Still a lot cheaper than internal drives.

mnh2410: did you try it on the 2000, has anyone tried the 2000XL or 2000.

PEACE!

Say mane, I try to tell u dudes if you are looking to get a internal flash card reader installed into your MPC 2000/XL I can help, I got a boy who does electronics and works with music equipment here in Houston and can pimp your MPC from Floppy to Card Reader. No big prices like them boys in Cali. Holla at me and I will get you connected with him.
