What up, brand new to the forums, I've been browsing for a while and thought I'd join up.
I have an MPC2000 with all the extra shit and MFC42 add-on. I couldn't live without that MFC42, I filter like a **** when sampling, that's probably my biggest complaint with the 2000. Now, my homey has the MPC4000 and I love the filters on that thing.
Now, Time for the new-poster question:
I see some of you have ASR-10's. Can someone enlighten me as to how the filters sound on it, and also, how the sequencing is on them? I'm thinkin of expanding sometime in the future. Plus, I really like the sound of the ASR. Would it be worth adding to my arsenal, or even selling my MPC to move on to the ASR???
By the way, I have all that was mentioned above, minus the ASR, along with a Kurzweil K2600s keyboard (which has awesome sampling capabilities, that almost negates the need for my MPC) and a Nord Lead 2. Being a big hip hop fan, and producer for a gangsta rap label out of sacramento, california, I'm wondering if I really have a need for an ASR...
