i just watched the monome video, that's a cool bit of kit you got there yoshimi, yet another reason to be jealous  i think the 'additive harmonics' someone was talking about was a drawbar organ softsynth, where the pads on the monome were in 'bars' mode. each bar represented an individual oscillator playing at its own frequency.

Yeah, $500 is steep...but it isn't made by M-Audio or Behringer... it is made by a small company that is making 200 of them. It is well made, is actually pretty heavy (ie not plastic, but metal and rubber). The thing is, you will soon be able to use this with any app...due to Mapd. Plus, the number of max patches that will show up for this device will blow up soon.

Just emailed them. Will pm you when i get a reply.

Yoshimi where did you find out that they are limited to 200 units? I thought they were basically being made to order?

If it is only 200 then i'm definitely getting one. Will be a collector's item!

Here's the info regarding the 200 units:

http://monome.org:3000/topic/26#101

They have been selling well, so maybe they will go to 500 units. The other thing is that the 100h will come out sooner or later as well... $1000...but it is 16x16...now that is dope. It took me a few weeks to get mine...and I ordered it the day it came out. I even got mine early due to someone backing out... I guess they searched the monome forum for someone who was really excited to get one...and then gave it to me.

I'm unemployed currently...but I was working at a brokerage firm. I did alot of overtime before I got canned so I could spend time with my equipment. Also, I don't own a car or a house. So, what you see in that room...is basically all I have to my name.
