I noticed that after the update (from 1.10 to 1.2)
my NOTEREPEATE-button works
on triplets only if i don't press
PLAY or REC. in other words, i can
try some interesting rhytmic patterns
but when i hit REC it plays the triplets
only in half tempo. this serious bug for me...
Is it possible to get rid of this? ....is it possible
to just load the older system again (sys1.10)
and it will downgrade my system without any problems?

I am taking a break from my MPC and these forums until Akai releases an OS update...not like anyone would care. But I am getting tired of this MPC. I may go back to an MPC 3000 and call it a day

That makes me even more satisfied with my 2kxl even though I've been thinking of switching to the 2500.
Are there too many bugs with the elementary functions that makes you think like this?

I think it's strange that akai/numark won't use us actually mpc users to beta test their mpc:s. I would definatley do it for free, so they would only benefit from it. Since I want a product that suits me and the way I want to work in the studio, and if I could help create that product would be awesome. But for now the 2500 doesn't do it for me, since it's lacking some features from my 2kxl and when I switch I want to elevate my production, not going backwards in some directions and forward in some.

Sure you are...

It would be a bit ironic if that were the case.

You think it's a good idea to go back to 1.1 ? Will the Seq I made on the new OS. still work on 1.1?

You don't know how much I want to throw my MPC out the window. I knew there would be bugs in the OS...but damn..this is a little too much. I am glad I don't use an MPC live. You catz would be in serious trouble. I can work around the problems in the studio...but should I have to? In 4 months, it will be a year since its release. I love MPCs. But Akai needs to really step their game up. If they can't program the new MPCs correctly, then they should stop making them, and just re-release the older models..if there is a market for them....

Now if they just let MPC users Beta Test the software in the first place...How in the hell can we find all these problems within minutes to days or weeks? Akai should have picked up on these problems before releasing the OS. Maybe they just don't care.....

Ok, I am done ranting...

So you've had the system test error too?

Are me and Taxman the only ones who haven't suffered this!?

I didn't suffer it personally. My son produced the error. He said that he was playing back a sequence he created using MIDI sound modules. However, the track didn't play back the way it was supposed to. So, he turned the MPC off and back on. This is when the error occured.

Just got off the phone w/ akai tech support.

They claim this is an anomoly, that most users's machines are fine yaddayaddayadda....

I bitched about letting users beta test thier machines. Dood just agreed.

He also checked to see if there was any news on the os update. He said probally a couple of weeks which probally means a month.

That's all i got.

I would advise not installing this new OS 1.2. I have to send my 2500 back to Akai due to this latest screwed up OS.
