This is a list for all the 2500 users who have recieved the ststem check error that prevents your machine from booting.

This is intended to get an idea approx. how many users are running into this.

If anyone has a higher up email contact at akai pro, maby we can pass this on to them.

P.S this thread topic has been changed so disregard the 1st page.

Aren't recalls often for hardware faults?

I've had NO major problems with mine apart from the occasional wrong file error

How many times has this happened to you?

Have you placed the OS in the root of the cf card and held window when switching it on?

I'm all for helping people out and getting problems fixed but starting a witch hunt isn't going to help any of us! A recall isn't going to help solve any software issues.

Look i'll be honest, i posted that in the hopes that maby somebody from akai actually might actually read these things. I'm feeling quite helpless and frusterated at the moment. I'm not going out and buying a $150 card reader/ writer to flash a buggy os to my mpc.

I just wish more of us a user group were more outraged, that's all.

Tell you what,
Maby we can make this thread the DEFINITIVE list of all the users that are getting the system error and we can pass this on to akai. Sound good?

All ACTUAL 2500 owners that have had the error please say "I".

Edit your first post to include a poll asking who's had the problem with the options of yes or no.

If you can do that

I hope you mistyped there, a card reader will cost you like $15, not $150!

I payed £15 for mine in the UK at least a year back.
