How to use the MPC60II w/ Pro tools

I have Pro Tools M-Powered 7, Ozone controller, Uno usb 1in/1out, and the MPC60II. How do I set up and use the MPC as the main sequencer triggering sound from my Plug Ins in Pro Tools? I hate sequencing in Pro Tools, the MPC is so much faster.

Is your pro-tools using m-powered for windows...

Yes it's M-Powered for wWindows XP. I got the MPC to trigger sounds on midi channel 1, but when I try to move on to the next channel (2) it plays the movement from ch. 1 with the sound from ch. 2. Pro Tools then crashes. What do I have to reset or adjust to keep it moving.

I then received this from Digidesign that spoiled all my hopes:

Hi,

There is no way to directly trigger plug-ins in Pro Tools from an
external sequencer. You can do your sequencing on the MPC using
other external MIDI tone modules and then export the sequences from
the MPC as .mdi files, import them into Pro Tools, and then reassign
the tracks in Pro Tools to the plug-ins you want to use.

Thats what I was going to tell you... you have to do your sequencing ouside of the pro-tools... I think it does do what you need but not with the windows version... I have that version too...

Sounds like double the work. I guess I gotta unplug the MPC and really learn how to build beats and songs using Pro Tools only. It hurts even thinking about it! Why can't you use your sound Plug Ins like a sound module with the MPC? All this technology can't handle a simple task as this.

I have yet to try it as I trying to build a pc just to run tools... but with the help of some peripheral, you should be able to assign pads to outs and then to tracks in tools... then when you run the sounds they should still be linked & sinked(sp) up... right? I'm hoping!
