Wut it do Lo-Ki,

To be honest there is no way to rectify this without changing your sequence. The MPC is not like a recorder....it can only record MIDI events based on the sequence. An event can't be recorded until the sequence starts.

Some people add a blank bar in front of the sequence so that they can trigger the sample before the beat start. This is where patterns come in. You could have a Opening Pattern of 2-5 bars that then leads into the remainder of your sequence.

I hope this helps.

i dont know what you mean it starts before the first beat in your sequence...

if Im on the same page as you, all it sounds like you have to do is cut a piece off the beginning of the sample so that it starts right on beat....but i may be confused about your question....

if that dosnt work, try shifting the sample a few ticks late.

place a blank bar before your seq starts.

ie, if you have 4 bars make it 5.
NOW, trigger your sample somewhere near the END of the first bar where you want it, and you normal 4 bars will play along after that.

If the TRICK seq we are talking about is IN the song somewhere then you have to trigger that sample in the bar BEFORE the regular seq that it plays through, understand?

I've done it plenty of times, you just think it through, and chain your seqeunces together with that in mind "it's being triggered BEFORE the main seq that it's playing in".. Remember that, adjust/record your seq's accordingly and chain them together in song mode. Done.
