EB16 FX board Poll

I was wondering if anyone uses the eb16 fx board.

i've heard a lot of people say they don't like it and would rather use software plugins... but i love using it..
it gives me mono samples a wider stereo sound and brightens them up.. plus i can do it on the spot instead of doing it all inside a computer.
i wish i could resample using the effects and/or be able to apply more/different effects.

I want one bad

I've had one before, and it sounds awesome. Not the most hands on accessory ever, but worth the money because it turns your MPC into a completely self supporting music tool, and also for me eliminates the need for 8 outs.

I use it every once in a while, If I played Live with the 2KXL I would use it alot more.

I dont really use it either but it is definetly nice to have when you do use it.

i dont really like the sound of the effectboard, i use it for little drum reverb sometimes.
But its not the most userfriendly thing on my mpc, i gonna try to work with it more

I would like to have it but it's not worth it to me at this point. I have an ASR X Pro I can run samples through and ad fx there and I also have a Beringer Virtualizer Pro (Multi fx). The Beringer is a beast for the money. I got mine used for 70 bucks.

anyone in europe sellin it for a reasonable price?(8 outs also anyone?)

i've been thinking about selling my eb16 & getting an external effects unit because i dont really understand the eb16. its the only thing i havent been able to teach myself. i guess my real problem is im completely ignorant to that frequency stuff & my experiments have been hit & miss. mostly miss.

any tips?

I use the EB16's Filter on every beat. For me its a work flow issue. I sample breaks directly from record and sometimes I NEED to EQ the bottom end of a kick drum... I don't wanna be bothered with external FXs, DX plugins, VSTs etc.. **** that shit. Give me a little window on my MPC screen where I can adjust the lows.. EB16 + layering = making an airy kick drum THUMP. I also use the Reverb and Delay on occasion with good results.

Don't front on the EB16, its worth every cent.

It´s very useful if you know what to do with it.
I like the distortion effect in combination with resonant filter sweeps.

Together with the 8 individual outs its even more useful because the signals of the different effect units can be routed through different outputs and mixed down seperately.

yall got my mouth watering (no homo) for the EB!6......

I copped one off of ebay this weekend....I can't wait to use the filters.....

about the only thing that I am dissapointed in is the fact that the EB16 doesn't have compression....but I'm sure I can tweek sounds very nicely without it.....?

Can any current users confirm this for me?
