Im getting an asr10....but how do i know which kind of reciever to get for it to record signal from a turntable?...i have a Technics SL-B20 turntable

The best thing to record a turntable through is a dj mixer. Pick one up. I got a cheap vestax for 40 bucks. SO if you shop around you can find a good one for cheap.

do i just get any mixer or a certain one

I mean any simple dj mixer will work. I haven't seen a dj mixer which wasn't capable of working for what you want to use it for.

Preamp, dj mixer, or mixer will work.

Anything with phono inputs. Unless you have a newer table with line out, such as numar TTX then you just need to go into a line in.
