Has anyone noticed that their 2500's q-link sliders feel a little loose and flimsy?

I've been using them a little of late to record some fliter sweeps and such and although they operate perfectly they seem to jiggle a little side to side. A little strange considering how amazingly solid the rest of the unit is.

Cheers,
Chris.

That sounds about normal. This isnt the old Akai days (Japan). Numark is all about China.

To be fair, i've never noticed this during using the sliders and only tried it out when you mentioned it.

It does move side to side but are you sure you're not being a bit vigourous with them for it to happen in use?

Yeah, I am also pretty light on them. I just happenned to move one side to side by accident and noticed. I was down at GC earlier today and noticed the one on demo is also the same ... maybe it's like that on purpose, that is it has a little bit of 'give' to protect it.

Either way I am feeling the last few days ... filter sweeps while playing the pads adds to the creative possibilities ....

I NEVER USE THEM MYSELF, BUT THEY FEEL JUST FINE TO ME.

I have the same problem, when i move up or down the Q1 slider (when i'm in the mixer mode for example), the Q3 knob doesn't move but the pan knob on the screen moves.

I know what you mean about that one, sometimes the pan will move off centre without even touching the q-link

Hmmm… I use both the knobs and sliders quite extensively and haven’t had any problems.
