How can u Erase all sounds

Hello, greetings from holland


i've bought from someone a MPC1000 and im very pleased with it

but how can i erase in 1 handling all sounds ( incl seqences )

if i now upload a new sample in a pad the old sound comes through

and that is not my idea of giving a live act

so does anyone have an idea?

1st step) delete all programs in the program menu

2nd step) go back to the program menu and press PURGE and then ok.

this will delete all sounds in your memory

to delete all sequences you have to do it by hand...



if you dont want to have your mpc loading sounds when turning it on just save the blank memory to the internal memory...

There's an easier way.

When you've got a completely empty MPC ie no sounds/sequences etc etc go to your CF card or hard drive and create a folder named 'blank project' or whatever.

Then 'save entire memory' into this folder and whenever you want to completely clear the mpc just load this folder with your blank project inside.

or just go into trim mode, select a sample, hit delete, and then hit delete all samples

That will still leave him having to erase the sequences and programs manually too

true but it takes less than 20 seconds. i like the delete all function. however, the autoload is probably the best.

Yeah, and if you want it to start up blank every time you turn on your MPC name the folder AUTOLOAD. And if you are tired of having to name your tracks, save a blank sequence with some tracks already named to cut down on the amount of MPC typing you have to do.

this works perfect

i've also saved samples in the root

so i can load them into the pads

cant u just turn the autoload off? when im done saving and start a new project without turning it off i go to the clear option in the load screen and it clears it before it loads the new sh(t

I've been having a serious problem with this. I have some sequences saved that I can't delete. I've tried everything. To delete them manually doesn't work. When I turn the mpc off then back on they're still there. I can delete all programs,seq's,and songs and turn off auto load. When I try to reload any programs all the seq's and songs that I am trying to get rid off load also. Basically I just want factory presets. I've also tried to hold the erase button down while turning on the mpc but to no avail. Someone please help!
