Erasing Ram

Does anyone know how to erase or "dump" your Ram after you saved your file(s) to your CF card (without rebooting the system)? It would be useful to know since I'm still using the stock ram.

go to the program on main window... hit window while curser is still on program hit the window button again at the bottom ( provided you are using os 2.1) there should be 4 options delete new close and copy.. hit delete ..that deletes prog from memory not the cf card ....after that then hit mode program too the far right you will see purge that will delete all the samples from the delete program ( all unused samples .........................to delete seq highlight seq press window you will get the same 4 options form previously mentioned jst delete tht will tk seqs out you thn have a clean slate ..... at least that works for me

some one askd the same ? on anther post.. and this way seems a lot better have not tried......

When you've got a completely empty MPC ie no sounds/sequences etc etc go to your CF card or hard drive and create a folder named 'blank project' or whatever.

Then 'save entire memory' into this folder and whenever you want to completely clear the mpc just load this folder with your blank project inside.
