Realizing the obvious, you undo the screws, I don't want to unscrew the wrong ones. Which ones are necessary to unscrew in order to pop the top?

I am attempting to replace the internal floppy with a zip drive.

There are 6 screws on the bottom and 4 along the back. Unscrew those and remove the top carefully. Mark the connections and watch what you unplug.

Remember, open slowly. :!:

Well there are so many screws on the back and the bottom, I'm not sure which ones open it. Can you specify the exact ones?

Thanks again.

It's the outer screws on the bottom and on the back there are 4 screws at the top that hold the lid down. I have an old MPC so it might be a little different.

yo krisnabest

let me know how you get on. i've got to open my 3000 soon to take care of a few things inside (replace screen, pads, add memory & clean).

if you can, take some pics of how you fit the zip disk in place of the internal floppy. would be cool to see how that works.

peace
