I just started using step edit in the last month. I wish I would have gotten on that sooner because it really has helped me out. That is one feature that I am glad I started to tinker around with.

I still haven't really used patched phrase...I think that's the one feature on the 1000 that I still haven't learned how to use properly.

Step Edit.
What the heez is seq. edit? LoL
EQ. One day I'll mess with it, but right now I have everything where I want it. whenever I turn on that EQ alllll my sounds get messed up. I'll just leave it off for now until I have the time. lol
I think I used Step edit on my Keyboard at one poin n time. But never On MPC. Is it the same thing. Hoonestly I can't even reallly think of how I could use it now.

I cant believe how many people are not using step edit
I use this every time I make a song
some of you guys seem to be using like 50% of the machines Capabilities
you are missing out on alot of different things you can do with the 1k
you to lazy or scared to learn?
you should of saved your money then and bought a midi controller.
just saying.
at first I kinda thought this question was pointless - now I can see it was a very good one.

i agree. i also like the way antonym used capital letters for the title, so that everybody could understand the question.

I've used patchphrase once (I've not had my MPC long) and was impressed with how well it worked on a line I played into the MPC from my bass. What's critical with patchphrase is that you line up the slice boundaries with the transients of your sample. If you've got a slice boundary in the middle of a note or drum hit, it will likely sound pretty weird when you change the tempo.
