Emf, I know how it is. When you're married you're not supposed to have any time to yourself. I think women are jealous of anything that diverts full attention away from them. Throw a baby in the mix and that's even more ammo for the guilt trip they throw at you. It doesn't matter that I don't hit the lab until after they're asleep, I should be in bed cuddling with her instead of grinding and pursuing my passion.

I know man, when they're doing something, they always want your support, but soon as you try to do something that demands your full attention......support goes out the window........Do like I do, tell her she better keep her job when I hit it big, because I wont be spending not one dime of my beat money on her......See, they don't take it serious because your'e not making BLAZE or Kanye money ......YET!!!!

The setup... A pc, phonic budget mixer, gemini budget dj-mixer, Numark TT-200 turntable, cheap speakers. But it's the beats that come out that matters.

My akai GXC-38D taperecorder! Hi-quality to sure!

Women in the United States, most of them try to hard to compete with men. They say they want a good man who has GOALS!!! If your goals are being a producer why in the hell do they bother us? Well for me my ex got on my nerves and I left her. Now I am single and I will remain single until I get where I need to be. I take care of my daughters and do my music. I have no time for the non-sense, I sleep this, I eat music, love music, and women here just don't understand when a man is doing his business leave him alone, its like they have the devil in them to keep us not focus on our goals. You will never achieve your goals with a nagging woman, like how women do they call themselves "INDEPENDENT" women so I turned the tables around I said I am an "INDEPENDENT " man I don't need no woman if yall on that Ima be on that too. Oh you should see how mad they get, I think they do have the devil in them, those that act like that. I mean how can you get mad everytime a man goes in the studio? There is some thing inside them pushing them to mess us up. Well on that note I ain't having it, Like I told one cat if Allah/God asked me " I will grant you one thing in all your life, being a music producer or a woman?" I would pick music in a flash, he wouldn't even get to say woman lol Women that lack peity, lack wisdom and will lead you down a dark road. I broke the cycle.

your set up was nice up to the point when you got all ricky lake on us.
just because you have some bad breaks with women those experiences do not define all women.
and if you want to be truely INDEPENDENT maybe lose all of that negitivity you are carrying around
hate does not need to define love

Danoc,

How do you feel about using the UAD-1 plugs in Pro Tools in terms of the VST/RTAS adapter, latency, delay compensation, ect? How much of a hassle are they to use compared to the Waves stuff? Their plugs sound great, but I've been holding off because of some concerns.

Also, how many of the DSP cards do you have, and do they really reserve CPU usage as advertised?
