Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

i have plenty of sequence memory left...i have 2 8 bar sequences joined together in song mode in convert song to seq function to a 16 bar sequence i press play at bar 1 as soon as it gets to 9 the sound shuts off even the sound from my midi devcices im using with the 4000 and the 4000 itself until i get to bar 13 the sound comes on again garbled and says midi buffer full and will have to panic my midi device....what is causin this and what can i do or set in my 4000 so i dont get this annoying message again??

you probably have a MIDI loop: path from MPC -> outboard -> MPC. The outboard piece(s) is echoing stuff back to the MPC. Maybe you have wired something up using MIDI THRU instead of MIDI OUT, or maybe you have soft THRU turned on for some modules?

Start by removing all incoming cables from the MPC and see if it stops. Then put cables back in one by one to see if you can find it.
