Hi, I'm deciding to purchase a 2K / 3K. I have a couple questions before I buy one. I primarily use Logic Pro 7 with UltraBeat and a MIDI controller to do drums. I was looking at the MPC because I want my drums (and samples) to be a little more "grittier". This brings me to my first question -

1 - Is there an MPC editor for Macs? I've searched around and could only find one for the 1K. If there is one, does it have all of the features that the PC version has?

2 - I saw in earlier threads that you can infact hook up a 2K with the SCSI to the computer through to the USB. I know this requires a median, such as the Zip, but can that be switched with a hard drive? Also, can this set up to the computer let you control the MPC with the Editor software?

Thanks for all the help!

Hmm, thanks but that really doesn't answer my question.

Actually those do. The manuals will let u know what all you are capable of doing and the sites below offer great information along with a search function on this site.

You cannot directly connect a the SCSI on an mpc to a computer nor can you transfer with the scsi or use it with software. Use MIDI for syncing/sequencing purposes.

Found that link above by searching.

SCSI is ancient. Not to be disliked, but ancient.

Don't know, ask Google. I tried "MPC editor for MAC" and got this:

Most likely a HD can be substituted for a Zip Drive.
No, you will not be able to control your MPC in this way. The only way to control the MPC with a comuter is via MIDI.

Aight, thanks. I knew I had seen a Editor for Macs. For some reason though I thought I read you could control the MPC including effects in all through one program. Oh Well. Does this software allow you totake a program from the MPC and put it into the Mac Editor? Thanks
