MIDI Latency with Cubase SX2

'Gear:

MPC2000XL (ofcourse!!)
Terratec DMX 6Fire (latest drivers)
AMD Athlon 2400+XP
Windows XP
Cubase SX2

I wanted to sync rec but when I hit 'Play' on my MPC Cubase start recording after 0.5 seconds and thats annoying. Because I cant work like that...
Someone know what I can do to resolve this problem?

Give yourself a 4 bar section where your MPC and Cubase can settle!

Make sure you have a dedicated channel for the SYNC data!!!

Make sure your PC is in STANDARD PC mode and your interface is on its own IRQ

oh yeah...give 'em a bar to settle in. If that doesn't work, did you go to the control panel and lower the latency? try 3ms.
