Wat MIDI keyboard?

Whas poppin, does any1 reckommend ne MIDI keyboards for my mpc2000??

Yes all of us who are familiar with MIDI keyboards can recommend one. But the best advice I can give is to explain everything u want to do. Like do u need onboard sounds or do u need a regular controller just to control sounds in reason, fl, ect.. to intergrate with your MPC. I know u stated MIDI keyboard but some people call regular keyboards MIDI keyboards so I want to make sure you are referring to one with out any onboard sounds.

Also please note that when u have a MIDI controller connected to your MPC and u use the 16 levels it is NOT goin to lay it across the keys. Jus thought i'd clear that up.

I just want a keyboard to like add some flavour on the beats, i'm gonna mainly just sample LPs and just add on some keys. Thats what im gon use it for

Well try checking out the MicroKorg. Since u will be primarily sampling then that should get the job done or the Alesis Micron. Its more out there but those two i know will get the job done. But wait for more posts and do more reading around and let me know how it goes.

I want a keyboard I can both make beats with and just add some flavour on the samples... Nothin pricy though

So u need sounds like synths, guitars,ect? Check out the emu modules or keyboards. Also how much are you tryin to spend?

Well i thought u wanted somethin a lil cheaper but bangs for the buck thats why i suggested the emu modules. But do you sample most of the time or compose? U dont really need a motif, fantom, or triton if u aint gonna be using that much keyboard sounds in your beats. I suggest a Emu module and max it out. Get a proteus or something and add the mo phatt, beat garden,and virtuoso rom cards. Just a suggestion.

could explain a little more please???? But since I don't any of things you were talkin about, would there be any point in me buying it? Aren't there just some keyboards out there? Simple keyboards...

Emu keyboards are simple. Since u seem confused maybe u should read the link below. It will help u decide on buyin a keyboard.

Ok, now I know I need a 88-key keyboard... But which one to choose is hard...

You don't need a 88 key keyboard unless you can play keys well and ave good dextarity in ur playing. 88 keys if for real piano payers. If you don't play keys like that stick to 61 keys, and keep it simple. It won't make ur tracks better. If you is looking for a good all around keyboard get either a used motif 6 classic, or a used regular fantom 61, or a triton LE. The prices on those are under $1000
