I just got one from AMS Electro store and it came with a db-25 cable no SCSI hook ups. Do I jus need a SCSI-to-DB-25 cable to get it to work, or did I get scammed...

also on top of the device do I need to buy an actual card reader to plug into it, cause it has no slots for cards just a huge empty slot.

Can you use other memory with the MPCs. I got shipped an SD card instead of a CF card, anyone know if thats aiight.

your bd25 cable is actually a 25 pin scsi cable

i dont know, I doesnt connect to my mpc2000xl is all I know for sure

yo, there are about 7 differt types of scsi connectors.


the mcp2000 xl has a high pitch 50 pin scsi connector


you will need a 25 pin scsi to hd50 scsi cable.


db25 will not work. it is different

you can waste your money on a bd25 cable if you like.

this card reader is scsi, not db25.

thanks anyways but the one I got with it plugs right into my desktop PC printer slot which definitely is db-25 not SCSI. SCSI is much different looking than db cables.

sd cards dont work...or do they
