Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

It would be great if the EDIT:ALL / EDIT:ONE setting would be visible not only in the EDIT 1 menu. It affects all the program menus, for example, the pitch settings; so it would be great it you could see the current setting when you are in any menu affected by the setting. I often turn the pitch of a sample in hte PITCH menu only to find out that the EDIT:ALL parameter is set, and it botches the pitches of every sample in the program. :(

Let me just take this opportunity to say what a rockin' ****' machine this is.

Right, I should turn back to ONE every time. Problem is that if I don't, all the individual parameters of affected keygroups / pads are lost. I've lost hundreds of filter settings in a single touch this way.

'****' should have been '****', but the '****'ing '****' '****'ed it.

what would be a simple and really convenient feature :
- the ability to save ALL_SEQ_SONG1.ALL files directly from the MPC's memory in AK.Sys
(instead of having to save on the MPC's harddrive, and then transfer the file by Ak.Sys)
- the ability to "copy" a pad with it's setinngs (zones, filters,...) to another pad easily (say I want pad F14 to be the exact replica of pad A2, if you know what I mean)

first time i would load a song up i had saved and as soon as i hit play/or hit a pad the mpc would freeze.so i had to scrub the h.d. and start all over again.luckly i had everything backed up on cd-r or i would have been f**ked.

this just happened again with another song.....i had to delete the song out of the hardrive, and again, thankfully i had backed it up on a cd.

we need to be able to hook a monitor up to the mp like the mv and edit evrything on screen and record audio as well as use vst plug ins. final answer.

just reload the program back in to the flash memory.
and it will overwrite the fukup you did by not turning the ALL back to one

That assumes I was smart enough to save it before making the fukup. (Which I was not haha.) But yeah, if I'm having a good day, I can just reload the program.

Let footswitch inputs have all velocity levels for pad inputs.
